ONE YEAR LATER….
“Look at me.” She said. “Do you notice something?”
I must say she has given me a glimpse of heaven….
The AMEN CONFERENCE 2015 has been a tremendous success.
For more details, please check out
The Lord be praised! We have learned a lot and it’s been wonderful. Thanks to Pr. Adam Ramdin and his dear wife Aiko for accepting to be our guests at our home. We have been tremendously blessed by your presence. We only wish you stayed longer!! Nevertheless, our hopes are high that we will meet again.
Thanks to the AMEN team and the input of each precious soul.
Thanks to Skype for those moments when physical meetings are not possible for the moment.
Thanks to our Almighty God for His tender mercies and grace- new every morning.
Thank you Lord for giving my dear husband Joe Nyamwange and I an opportunity to speak again…this time on “Relationships YOUR WAY!” at the 2015 Conference.
Last year, we had an opportunity to present on Food Preparation: Yes, Kitchen Matters Matter! We were a bit nervous at first because food matters today, though gaining a lot of attention, have also gained a lot of criticism and prejudice. But in Whose Name were we sharing? In Whose Power were we going forth? Whose wisdom was availed to us?
In the name of the One Whose name is above every name; the One who planted the First Garden; the One who curved the first human body and assigned each organ its function; the One who breathed into man’s nostrils the breath of life and here we are today; living souls, alive because of Him.
A young lady attended our session on Food at the 2014 AMEN CONFERENCE. Our topic on DIET AND THE SANCTUARY captivated her. She wanted to know the relationships between these two. Amidst others in attendance in the room, she looked quizzy and eager to learn. She sat at the front row. She was not afraid to ask questions. She had confessed struggling with her weight and succumbing to food cravings. She had struggled to find out how to improve her health. She was sincerely concerned that a change of lifestyle from her current one to a healthier one would be expensive. Her eyes were yellowing and her speech was slow. Her hair seemed weak and her countenance sad. She was in search of an answer. She longed to know how to find affordable and healthier options for her table. Amidst her struggles came the AMEN CONFERENCE 2014. God has always had several ways of meeting the several needs of His several children. He is Unlimited.
Yes, the request came forth to us, that we would share on diet. We asked the Lord to guide this process. The journey to the Conference was not without hurdles. Prior to this we had been having food preparation classes with our neighbors in the community. We invited each family to our kitchen for demonstrations and then to the dining table for a celebration. We prayerfully considered our interaction with each soul. It wasn’t long after. This new sacred adventure was bumped by a burst geyser, tucked away in our ceiling. The bursting opened a floodgate of torrential waters in our living room, succumbing our home to “under construction” for six months.
In the midst of all these happenstances, thieves broke into our home and stole my computer. The Lord worked in marvelous ways to rescue all my files. Two days before my computer was stolen, the hard drive developed a problem. Amidst all our attempts to restore, hope seemed to be fading away in to the dark horizon.
Our last option resulted in letting go, of the hard drive to a long stay away from home into a recovery shop where it stayed for two months. Praise the Lord that even though the computer was stolen- nothing but a shell- my hard drive returned to me in tact with all the files in place. However there was a hitch…All our files for the Conference 2014 remained inaccessible due to these unforeseen challenges with travel, and technology, and many more. We flew in for the Conference, arriving a few hours before it started, armed with our Bibles and nothing else but handwritten scripts with thoughts from the head on diet. Praise the Lord for the gift of memory.
But God does not see as man sees. He’s far more long sighted and with a perfect vision. He’s the Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and the End. He’s the Source of Wisdom.
ONE YEAR LATER….
Remember the sickly young lady at our session in 2014?
We met at the door of th church this past weekend. She came toward me with eagerness. Something has changed, I thought. She took her phone and showed me the picture we took a year ago.
“Look at me,” she said. “Do you notice something?”
She echoed with delight. “I have lost all that excess weight. You remember? I have been putting into practice the things you shared with us on how to live healthy for God’s glory. I am healthier now. Beside that, we have started a Health Center in our community and we are teaching the people on health principles. I teamed up with some friends and God is blessing. I’d like to invite you and your husband to come over and speak with us, and share again, but this time, at our new Health Center!”
Our hearts skipped with delightful beats at this kind of testimony. The Lord often times will bypass the great Power Point Presentations on computers, and use lost things and files to allow for the creation of new ones. Why? For the sake of one soul. Yes, and to showcase His power and glory. Ultimately, man must learn his total dependence of God!
“The value of a soul, who can estimate? Would you know its worth, go to Gethsemane, and there watch with Christ through those hours of anguish, when He sweat as it were great drops of blood. Look upon the Saviour uplifted on the cross. Hear that despairing cry, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” Mark 15:34. Look upon the wounded head, the pierced side, the marred feet. Remember that Christ risked all. For our redemption, heaven itself was imperiled. At the foot of the cross, remembering that for one sinner Christ would have laid down His life, you may estimate the value of a soul.” Christ’s Object Lessons, Ch. 15.
Friend, God can triumph over circumstances in order to be triumphant in the heart of one soul. Missed flights and break ins to Him can be opportunities for impressing the mind with unmatched thoughts. He replaces anxiety with peace and is the Supplier, not only of basic needs but also of Wisdom.
What more can we ask for? If the gospel can change just one life, one soul, then indeed it will have changed many! The impact of one life and one health and lifestyle center will go along way in spreading the Gosepl, and only in eternity shall we see the Big Picture. For now, I am content with the glimpse photography that the Lord allows us to see of His wondrous works in and through His children.
Could it be that in that Great Morning, there will be more testimonies? Yes! Could it be, that the Redemption Story will continue to unfold right before us? Indeed. Could it be, that we shall speak of His ceaseless love throughout eternity? No doubt.
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14.
Friend, it is not what we can do, but what the Lord can do for us, in us, with us, and through us. Our trials are not obstacles, but opportunities. They are not inconveniences, but providence. What we may consider delays are but relays for God- fresh startups in the race. Second chances through life’s maze. Keep running.
Please join us in praying for Samantha, that her health will continue to improve and blossom, and that her work at the new health and lifestyle center the Lord has impressed upon them to start will see exponential growth and multiplications of conversion experiences.
